The history of the company dates back to 1878: the 20 years old Silviano Venchi from Turin, loved chocolate so much that he spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons and began experimenting with making chocolate, first in his apartment and then in a small workshop in Turin. These experiments were so successful that a few years later, he came out with Nougatine, a chocolate with chopped caramelized Piedmont hazelnuts coated in extra dark chocolate, and the first Venchi store, “Piedmont’s most elegant chocolate shop,”. Even today, passion, meticulous care, and the courage to experiment with making chocolates remain. The company has a history of more than 140 years and now offers more than 350 chocolate recipes and 90 flavors, found in more than 70 countries in key cities such as London, Hong Kong, Dubai and New York.
