The Haraszthy Winery was founded in 1996 in Etyek by Carlos Coelho, an Argentinean native with experience in both California and Hungary. The winery is named after Ágoston Haraszthy, the father of Californian viticulture. Currently, they cultivate vineyards on 123 hectares. In addition to traditional Hungarian grape varieties, they also grow Burgundian varieties, with the largest quantities of Irsai Olivér, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. They blend modern technologies with traditional techniques.
