The 217-meter-high Sabar hill, which rises in the border of Káptalantóti, is one of the smallest mountains in the Balaton highlands - in terms of its properties, it is a very promising growing area - and is part of the Badacsonyi wine region. The center of our estate and most of our vineyards are located here. In the time since our establishment in 2009, our production areas have expanded to 7 hectares, we have renovated and filled two Sabar-hegy cellars with wine, making sure that life returns to the small vineyard hill.
This "Estate Wine" made from 100% Italian Riesling perfectly shows the philosophy of Sabar Borház, what they think about the terroir and this variety. They set the bar very high... 2/3 barrel, 1/3 tank fermentation and aging, then bottling after equalization.
