About the company
The story of the company Calvi begins in 1919 when the young Giuseppe Calvi -- son of olive cultivating and oil producing family -- returns from World War I and decides to become an entrepreneur by using the knowledge gained while working on the fields. In 1921 together with his brother, Paolo, he sets up his own company. Even today the brand Calvi is still considered one of the most notable representatives of the Ligurian gastronomian traditions. Among the numerous Calvi specialties the most remarkable ones are the extra virgin olive oils, tuna fish and vegetable products.
