The Loison family started their business in the late 1930s, and it was Tranquillo, the grandfather, who first fell in love with the art of bread-making and later passed it on to his son, Alexander. Together, they transformed the bakery into a real family business and opened a new store in 1969. The company, which is currently managed by Dario, Tranquillo's nephew, took on an international dimension in 1992.
