About the company
In 1946, DYLON - "Dyes of London" - was founded by two young entrepreneurs, Luca Purbeck and Peter Samuel, who started selling colored paints from a garage in central London. From then on, DYLON thrived in post-war make-do & mend, producing fabric dyes in Britain to brighten homes, wardrobes and the mood of families across the country. The company continued to grow during the rock and roll years of the 1950s, and over the next few decades sold color paints in more than 70 countries around the world.
