Côte-Rôtie "La Turque" is one of the flagship of the Domaine GUIGAL. A powerful wine with spicy notes, its terroirs from côte brune with “blond accents” lends it a great elegance.
The famous E. Guigal winery was founded by Etienne Guigal in 1946 in the Cotie Rotie region of the northern Rhône Valley. His son Marcel joined him in 1961 and is still actively running the estate. The winery is a pioneer in the Rhone Valley who makes wines in a modern way.
93% Syrah, 7% Viognier. The wine spent 42 months in new oak barrels. Deep ruby red with dark tints. Blackberries, morello cherries and small red berries can be felt on the nose. The red berries can be also detected in the taste, which is complemented by a balanced, structured body with elegant tannins. The specific characteristics of the terroir are particularly noticeable in its taste.
