It was a sense of history that lead to the creation of a collection of limited edition Glenfarclas expressions - The Family Casks. All thanks to the foresight of George S. Grant. A 1997 Glenfarclas single malt that was matured in a single refill butt (approx. 475-500 litres | ~302-350 LPA) until it was bottled in May 2020 as part of the Family Casks series.

Glenfarclas is still a family-owned 5th generation whisky distillery. The Grant family has been running the distillery since 1865 and their goal is nothing less than to create one of the best single malt whiskeys in the heart of Highland in Speyside style.
Aromas of red berries, ripe apricot, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate and dried tobacco leaves fill the nose, complemented by notes of dried fruit, caramelised hazelnuts, dried apricots, dates, tobacco, black pepper and oaky vanilla throughout the palate.
