A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
The vineyards of the Jammertal Borbirtok spread across the entire E-W width of the Villány wine region, from Palkonya to Hegyszentmárton. They focus on Bordeaux varieties because they are perfectly suited to the terroir.Cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot make up 85% of their plantings. Most of the remaining 15% is from kékfrankos, but pinot noir, syrah and portugieser can also be found in the portfolio.
Focused and tight. Extremely elegant, this is a great red wine that offers sumptuous aromas of fresh berries, baking spices and vanilla, as well as a delicate scent of spring flowers. Aging in small barrels also lent flattering dark chocolate aromas to this great batch. The initial aroma expands with more nuanced notes of blackberry and blackcurrant. Fine-grained tannins give the wine a pleasantly round structure.
