100% Cabernet Franc from Villány.
The vineyards of the Jammertal Borbirtok spread across the entire E-W width of the Villány wine region, from Palkonya to Hegyszentmárton. They focus on Bordeaux varieties because they are perfectly suited to the terroir.Cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot make up 85% of their plantings. Most of the remaining 15% is from kékfrankos, but pinot noir, syrah and portugieser can also be found in the portfolio.
In 2012, thanks to the drier vintage, a very concentrated cabernet franc requiring longer maturation was harvested. Accordingly, dark chocolate and smoky aromas dominate in this beautiful batch, along with the prune notes that are so characteristic of the variety.Its pronounced but silky rounded tannins, together with the acid backbone, give this special red wine perfect hold and a long finish.
