The ingredients of the aroma are perfectly ripe, but not yet overripe, faithfully reflecting the characteristics of the wine region and the power inherent in the volcano. Full flavors are combined with a low but sufficient acidity

The Kőfejtő Cellar is located on the western side of Somló hill, in the Séd vineyard, close to the former Kőfejtő. A part of our cultivated grapes is located here, about 1 hectare. Italian Riesling, Juhfark, Furmint and Hárslevelű.
We still grow grapes a little higher on the western side of the mountain, Juhfarkot and Furmint there. In the spring of 2020, we planted half a hectare of Juhfark on the south side near Taposókút, and we use an area on the south side of Ság-hegy where Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Juhfark grow. Thus, we currently farm on an area of about 3 hectares. We have not bought grapes since 2017, we only process our own harvest.
Kőfejtő Pincészet Italian Riesling dry white wine from Somló is made from Italian Riesling from Somló harvested from several smaller plantations of different ages. A batch fermented and matured in barrels, in which the minerality of the area goes beyond the varietal character. A true gastro-wine, it holds its own in the same way with light as with more substantial dishes.
