Like all Michel Forgeron cognacs, this Cognac "Barrique 60" comes from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac production area.This extra old Cognac "Barrique 60" has aged nearly 60 in French oak barrels in the cellars of Domaine Michel Forgeron, to reach naturally 50 degrees of alcohol.

One of the younger brands in the region, the first Michel Forgeron Cognac was released in 1977. The house speciality is single vintage releases bottled at high ABV, not typical of the category. The Forgeron family still manages the estate, living by Michel’s credo ‘work hard, produce better.’
Visual inspection: Barrique 60' Cognac has an amber and golden colour. Olfactory examination: Aromas of exotic fruit, cedar, sandalwood and cocoa, markers of a very old Grande Champagne. Taste test: A Cognac of great finesse and lightness. A great persistence in throat of exotic fruits (passion fruit).
