The 217-meter-high Sabar hill, which rises in the border of Káptalantóti, is one of the smallest mountains in the Balaton highlands - in terms of its properties, it is a very promising growing area - and is part of the Badacsonyi wine region. The center of our estate and most of our vineyards are located here. In the time since our establishment in 2009, our production areas have expanded to 7 hectares, we have renovated and filled two Sabar-hegy cellars with wine, making sure that life returns to the small vineyard hill.
Sabar Borház's vineyard-selected Italian Riesling from Bács-Hegy is a great batch, which is largely due to the basalt-based, clay soil of the area and the excellent use of barrels. It has a great balance of acid and sugar. Its color is straw yellow. It has a yellow floral aroma, vanilla creaminess and some flambéed fruits. Salty caramel in the mouth, spiced with citrus.
