The Piros Vilmos is a variety developed from the bud mutation of the Vilmoskörte. They ripen a week after the Vilmos pear, at the end of September. Its fruit is medium-sized, tasty, suitable for fresh consumption. Being a pear at the end of summer, its fruit can be stored for a short time, on average it is 102 mm long, 70 mm wide, and its average weight is 130 - 160 g. Its surface is smooth or slightly bumpy; its shape varies, from a broad pear to a cylindrical shape. Its flesh is white, melting, juicy, with an excellent spicy and harmonious taste. The tree grows strongly, breaking upward, and becomes somewhat spreading in its older age. It also produces a satisfactory amount in cordon cultivation.
