About the company
In 1963, Frits Schrouff, the founder of Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Food, saw how much Indonesian immigrants craved food from their faraway homeland. They were quite fed up with their daily dutch potatoes and sprouts. He helped Frits and flew to Indonesia to import small quantities of rice and soy products, which he then sold door-to-door in a small VW van. This adventure developed over a few decades into the large leading company that is Heuschen & Schrouff today. We import and distribute Asian food across Europe, connecting people and culture.
