Saba is produced near Modena by the Leonardi family who are personally involved in choosing the grapes and fig for the stum from which it is made.
Acetaia Leonardi was founded in 1871, and it is regarded as one of the finest balsamic producers in Modena, building upon the fine reputation of the wines emanating from its vineyards. Its 'tradizionale' balsamic is amongst the best, and The Leonardi's are trying to address that dilution in quality.

Saba seasoning gives sweet flavor to the dishes it is added to. It can be used to season meats, to dress polenta, in dips for vegetables, atop ice creams and other sweets. Can also be used as an aperitif when added to sparkling water.
