The Marais Vendéen region lies between the Loire River and Noirmoutier Island. Thanks to its rich pastures, many farmers settled in the area over time to make cheese and other dairy products. Among them were the parents of the company's founder, Pascal Beillevaire, who was born and grew up here. Later he started selling cream, butter and some other dairy products in the local markets around Machecoul. As a result of many years of hard work and dedication, he has developed the family dairy farm into a world-renowned large-scale enterprise, whose selection includes not only the finest French cheeses, but also premium quality artisan dairy products.
