A borsmenta 30-40 cm magasra növő, évelő fűszernövény. Cserépben is jól érzi magát, gyorsan és látványosan bokrosodik. Márciustól májusig vethető. Pirosas erezetű sötétzöld levelei fogazottak, virága pedig rózsaszínes.
