It has a pleasant, citrusy taste and a resinous classic IPA, which can also be said to be one of the cornerstones of the brewery. It is interesting that when we took several sips, some spicy (pepper) notes also appeared.
Mad Scientist is a small-scale brewery in Budapest. It was founded in 2016 by three people: Csaba Tarján, Tamás Szilágyi and Gergő Závodszky. The result of the collaboration of four small-scale domestic breweries wich is in the Főzdepark, which opened in the summer of 2016 in the industrial park of the former Royal Brewery. Mad Scientist is one of the four small-scale kraft breweries, the second to start work in the Főzdepark and to help define the concept of kraft beer (in Hungary). In 2016, in the Alltech Commonwealth competition, domestic breweries started in 27 categories, of which they managed to win a total of 16 medals, of which Mad Scientist won 2 medals. Saison won 15 bronze medals in the International Beer Challenge.
Mad Scientist is a characteristically bitter West Coast IPA with a basic assortment. Tropical fruity with a resinous, slightly black pepper flavor and aroma. West Coast IPAs (WCIPAs) are traditionally known for their bold hop aroma, high bitterness, and citrusy, pine aroma and flavor — typically adding more hops to the cookware, giving the style its distinctive character. results in a strong hop flavor.
