Stone Brewing is known for big beers with plenty of alcohol, but they have also produced beers with lower alcohol content and just as tasty, Neverending being a prime example. Steve Gonzalez, senior manager of Small Batch Brewing and Innovation, has been experimenting with a few yeast strains over the past few years, particularly a century-old—but increasingly available—Norwegian strain, Voss Kveik Ale yeast. This very hot fermented yeast produces intense orange, citrus notes that work perfectly with the intense fruit aromas and flavors of Mosaic and Citra hops.
