Bruno Giacosa, one of the world's legendary winemakers, has been making Barolo and Barbaresco wines from the most prestigious individual vineyards for nearly eight decades. He joined the family business at the age of 15, representing the third generation of the winemaking family. Giacosa's pursuit of perfection, the unique taste of his wines and his intimate knowledge of the vineyards of the Langhe quickly gained recognition and contributed to his becoming the leading wine region of Piedmont. In 1980, Giacosa began acquiring the best parcels of Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra and Barbaresco to produce wines that are rightly considered the finest expressions of Nebbiolo. His legacy lives on, his daughter has preserved her father's winemaking philosophy, respecting traditional techniques while taking advantage of modern technology. The aim remains to make special, distinctive wines from each prestigious area.
