Product description
This winery's unique Syrah wine evokes the wines of the French Rhone Valley. The vineyards are located in the eastern, warmer climate of the Santa Ynez AVA, on the flat terrain of the Ingeborg Vineyard, close to the Happy Canyon AVA. The wine comes from sandy-clay soils covered with river pebbles, from 100% Syrah grapes, from the "Estrella" clone, with a load of 1.5 kg/stock. The harvest took place at the beginning of September, it was made by manual sorting and berry picking, cold soaking. The wine was aged in 80% French and 20% Hungarian oak barrels for 28 months. It was not filtered before bottling. In its aroma, notes of blackberry, roasted chestnuts, pine resin and smoked meat can be felt, while its taste is dominated by blackberry, complemented by brown sugar, chocolate, salty flavors and tobacco.
