In its aroma, the rich fruitiness is given by forest blackberries and black currants, but strawberries, blueberries, blue plums and their jam are also present. The smell is definitely spicy, almost intoxicating. Little cocoa, more bitter chocolate, some caramel notes are also present. It is characterized by rich, rich aromas and flavors. Actually, it is a silky, velvety, well-drawn, serious wine. Its acids and tannins are enjoyable. The remaining sugar is exactly what is needed. Chocolate and burnt sugar, toast bread flavor put the crown on the enjoyment of the flavors. Its aftertaste is significantly longer than average, with forest blackberry, fruity, with nice acids and spices at the end.

About the company

The property is exclusively owned by the family. Its area is 55 hectares, of which 40 hectares are currently vineyards. In the last 15 years, this excellent area has been reunified. The Krajchovszki family bought it from more than 50 owners in smaller parcels. The first seeds of the Szeleshát Szőlőbirtok were planted in the fall of 2001, which were expanded with additional plots in 2004, 2008 and 2011 and 2013. Their main varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Kékfrankos, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Kadarka.

Product description

The separate 1.5 ha Gubac Hill roof is the southernmost tip of the Szekszárd hills. The mesoclimate here - particularly windy and dry summers, as well as the always small grapes - give Merlot excellent quality. Only this variety was planted in this area, which was described in a cadastral note from 1874 as "the best red wine grows here". After the hand harvest, it was fermented in steel tanks, and then 60% of the batch was aged in new barriques for 18 months. Alcohol: 15%.
