Amrut Single Malt whiskey is made from selected Indian barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas. After careful mashing, it is steamed in small portions in order to preserve the natural aromas. It is aged in oak barrels under special tropical conditions at 3,000 feet above sea level in Bangalore. Keeping in mind the preservation of the natural character of the whiskey, the distillery uses the so-called uses the "non chill filtered" method, that is, the whiskey is made by filtering without chilling.
