Culinaris Retail Kft. Rules concerning loyalty customers
Description of the loyalty card programme of Culinaris Retail Kft. (Culinaris Gourmet Club)
Creator of the loyalty card programme and the regulation: Culinaris Retail Kft. (hereinafter referred to as “Culinaris”)
To participate in the programme, you must apply for a loyalty card (hereinafter referred to as a “Loyalty Card”).

As to its form of appearance, the Loyalty Card is a plastic card with a picture and a custom QR code.
The participants of our old loyalty programme are also required to apply for a New Loyalty Card at any of our stores, the discounts provided by the old cards will expire on 30.04.2022. Discounts earned in the old loyalty programme for the last quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 will be refunded in the form of gift vouchers, which can be used by the Customer until 31 August 2022. Customers who have accumulated balances from previous periods may use their previous balances under the new loyalty programme, provided, that they became eligible in the second or third quarter of 2021.
Scope of use:
In the Culinaris shops (hereafter referred to as “shop(s)”) and subsequently in the webshop on www.culinaris.hu[i] (hereinafter referred to as “webshop”).
The Loyalty Card provides a discount on purchases, set as a percentage of the purchase price, as advertised by Culinaris for a given period.
Applying for a Loyalty Card and making a purchase using it constitutes automatic acceptance of the rules published by Culinaris from time to time.
The Loyalty Card is valid until revoked.
Culinaris may, at its unilateral discretion, terminate the benefits provided by the Loyalty Card at any time, by giving the cardholders prior notice (if an e-mail address is available) by e-mail, by posting a notice on its website and by posting a notice in the stores.
During the application for and use of the Loyalty Card by the customers, and throughout the validity period of the Loyalty Card, Culinaris shall take into account and comply with the applicable data protection rules.
Persons eligible for the Culinaris Gourmet Club Loyalty Card:
All Customers who apply for a Loyalty Card are eligible to participate.
You can apply for a Loyalty Card in person at the shops. The Loyalty Card is activated immediately when claimed. When you activate the card, the QR code on the card is properly associated with the personal data provided by the customer at the time of application. The customer’s name, email address, telephone number, address and date of birth are recorded when applying for a Loyalty Card.
A loyalty card can be applied for by Customers over the age of 18.
When you apply for a Loyalty Card, our GTC and GDPR are signed and our colleagues register the members online. By signing, the Customer confirms that he/she wishes to participate in the programme of his/her own free will, that he/she has read the terms and conditions for applying for the Loyalty Card, that he/she has read the information and that he/she accepts the processing of his/her personal data required for the use of the Loyalty Card.
Conditions of use of the Culinaris Gourmet Club Loyalty Card:
The Loyalty Card can be used until revoked. The Loyalty Card can be used and entitles you to a discount when making purchases in stores or later in the webshop.
All newly registering Customers will receive a coupon worth 1000 HUF. Upon registration, the customer enters the basic (entry-level) 0% discount group. For purchases made with the Loyalty Card, the value of the purchases is added together. If the Customer’s spending reaches the limit of 250,000 HUF, he/she will automatically be included in the 5% discount (explorer) group. If the Customer spends 600,000 HUF, he/she will automatically be placed in the 7% discount (pro) group, and if the Customer spends 1,500,000 HUF, he/she will automatically be placed in the 10% discount (gastronomer) group.
Eligibility for the discount will be reviewed from time to time, and the Customer whose spending from the date of eligibility for the discount until the next year’s anniversary does not reach the lower limit of eligibility for the discount will be excluded from the given discount group and will be reclassified according to his/her current spending.
Old loyalty card program participants will be assigned to the above-mentioned groups that provide the level of discount defined above based on the value of their spending within the last year prior to the launch of the new loyalty card programme.
The amount of the discount is indicated on the receipt at the checkout, or on the payment summary in the case of purchases made in the webshop.
Culinaris reserves the right to unilaterally modify the amount of the purchase limit, the value of the % discount or the rules for transferring to certain discount groups, in line with economic changes, and to withdraw the same, informing its customers (if an e-mail address is available) by e-mail, by posting a notice on its website and in its stores.
When applying for a Loyalty Card, the person assigned to the card is entitled to use the Loyalty Card. If it is confirmed that the Loyalty Card is used by a person other than the holder, Culinaris will be entitled to revoke the Loyalty Card concerned, and the Loyalty Cardholder will lose the right to the discount.
Acceptance of the Loyalty Card by Culinaris is subject to the customer presenting it at the time of purchase in the store and scanning the data with the help of the scanner of the sales staff in the store. In the case of purchases made in the webshop, the data are automatically compiled and both the discount and the value of the purchase are automatically recorded. In all cases, the applicable level of the purchase discount is based on the data recorded and registered in Culinaris’ own system.
If Culinaris decides to withdraw or terminate the discounts provided by the Loyalty Card, it will notify its customers 30 days in advance (if an e-mail address is available) by e-mail, by posting a notice on its website and in its stores.
In the event of loss of the Loyalty Card, the customer must report the loss, destruction or damage to Culinaris. The lost Loyalty Card will be destroyed and the customer will receive a new Loyalty Card, to which the data of the previous card will be assigned. Culinaris shall not be liable for any misuse of the lost card or for any damages that the customer may incur due to the loss, destruction or damage of the Loyalty Card.

Processing of the data of the Loyalty Cardholder:
Culinaris will use the data provided when you apply for a Loyalty Card in accordance with the conditions set out in the Data Protection Policy. At the same time as applying for the Loyalty Card, the cardholder consents to the use, processing and storage of personal data by Culinaris or its subcontractor during the application and use of the Loyalty Card, in order to ensure that the discounts provided by the Loyalty Card are properly provided and to properly resolve any customer complaints.
Culinaris also uses the data collected to evaluate the customers’ shopping habits, make the Loyalty Card Program more efficient, meet the customers’ needs at a higher level and notify them of new opportunities and discounts.
By completing the card application form and signing the GTC and GDPR form, the Customer agrees to Culinaris using his/her data in the scope and manner described above and to subcontract the storage and processing of the data. (Culinaris specifies the other entities involved in the processing of the data in the Data Protection Notice. Culinaris may use and process the customer’s data only during the period of validity of the Loyalty Card, and the data will be erased within 15 days after the withdrawal of the Loyalty Card. The data will not be transferred for marketing purposes.
If, in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Policy, the customer withdraws his/her consent to the processing of the data in writing by sending a letter in the specified manner, such withdrawal shall also constitute a waiver of the right to use the Loyalty Card and the associated discounts.
[i]Culinaris webshop is renewed! The Loyalty Card cannot be used in the current webshop at the moment. We will inform our Customers in advance about the availability of the new webshop and the use of the Loyalty Card in the webshop. This policy will automatically apply to purchases made in the webshop once the new webshop is up and running.
