Product description
Bottega Limoncino is a traditional Italian "limoncello" liqueur, with origins dating back to the late 19th century. It is made from an infusion of "Femminello" lemon peel, a widely grown variety in Italy, known for its fine-textured skin and high-quality essential oils. The name "Femminello" reflects the plant's fertility, as it blooms throughout the year. The lemons are grown naturally, harvested at peak ripeness, washed, and hand-peeled to remove the bitter white pith, leaving only the essential oil-rich yellow peel. The peels are infused in alcohol for about 30 days, allowing the extraction of their aromatic and color-rich compounds. The liquid is then separated from the peels. Finally, sugar and high-quality grappa are added, giving this Limoncino its distinctive and unmistakable flavor.
