Since its founding in 1927, the Berchtesgadener Land milk processing company has operated according to the principles of sustainable farming. The cooperative is entirely owned by 1,700 local farmers, and their dairy in Piding was one of the first organic dairies in Bavaria. In addition to Alpine organic and lactose-free milk, their wide selection includes butter, yogurt and other dairy products.
