Maille is a French mustard and pickle company. The company traces its roots to Antoine Claude Maille. Maille set up a shop in Paris in 1747 and in 1769 became the official vinegar supplier and distiller of the King of France. Maille is currently a subsidiary of Unilever.

Mustard is a condiment made from the seeds of a mustard plant. The whole, ground, cracked, or bruised mustard seeds are mixed with water, salt, lemon juice, or other liquids, and sometimes other flavourings and spices, to create a paste or sauce ranging in colour from bright yellow to dark brown.
